From scent development, manufacturing and marketing, all of our products are carefully created in our Newfoundland home studio.
Custom scent blends are our specialty and our favorite and most common response from our customers about our products are "OMG, that actually smells exactly like what it's called!"
About our Candles
Our candles begin with our very own custom wax blend, combining soy wax and beeswax to create a clean-burning product with excellent scent retention and a long burn time.
We then add high-quality fragrances, carefully selected and blended to bring our creations to life. With every change in our recipe, we conduct a thorough top-to-bottom test burn to ensure everything meets our standards and make adjustments as needed. This process can take weeks!
Once everything is perfect, we begin hand-pouring each and every candle. All of our production is done in-house by owner Shannon.

About our Sprays and Diffusers
Lighthouse Fragrance Co. room sprays and diffusers are our newest products and offer a great way to scent your home with minimal effort.
Our room sprays are water-based, making them safe for linens and fabrics and unlike other sprays, they won't make your floor slippery. You can adjust the scent as desired by simply spraying more or less.
Our reed diffusers are long-lasting (months!) and the only maintenance required is flipping the reeds every week or so. While reed diffusers have a more limited selection of scents due to fragrance compatibility, we are pleased to offer a wide variety of options to meet your home fragrancing needs. Once the bottle is empty, We offer refills so you don't have to through out that beautiful glass bottle!

About Lighthouse Fragrance Company
Welcome! I’m Shannon, the founder and CEO (Chief Everything Officer) of Lighthouse Fragrance Company, based in Blaketown, Newfoundland.
Scent has always intrigued me. The smell of sawdust brings me back to memories of my grandpa, while the aroma of fresh-baked bread gives me a sense of warmth and home. Long before starting my fragrance business, I was crafting my own personal products like deodorant and bug spray. But it wasn’t until I explored how scent can evoke emotions that I became truly captivated. I dove deep into learning how to create products that are not only true to life but also spark joy.
I love every part of running this business (even the tough times) as it allows me to combine my artistic passions with the skills I’ve developed over years of experience in retail, manufacturing, management, data entry, and bookeeping. It’s the perfect blend of creativity and structure that keeps me inspired every day.
Why Lighthouse?
The name Lighthouse Fragrance Co. comes from a lifelong obsession. Since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by lighthouses, making it a point to seek them out whenever I travel. Today, I have a collection of photos from over 25 different lighthouses across Canada and the US.
When it came time to name my business, it was an easy choice. Just like the steady, guiding light of a coastline beacon, our hand-poured candles and melts are crafted to bring a sense of comfort, clarity, and warmth to your home
A Bit More About Me
In addition to my creative pursuits, my biggest inspiration comes from the great outdoors. Hiking is what keeps me grounded, and nothing compares to exploring the rugged beauty of the East Coast Trail—a place that holds a deeply special meaning for me.
I’m a proud dog mom to Max, my furry companion who is by my side for every hike and camping trip. Max’s playful presence and our outdoor adventures infuse my work with a distinct sense of warmth, love, and natural joy.
